Waubay/Summit took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Roncalli, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cavaliers 2-1. The game was the first time the Mustangs have beaten the Cavaliers on their court since September 6, 2016.

Waubay/Summit's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Roncalli, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Waubay/Summit will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilmot at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Roncalli, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Herreid/Selby on the 11th.
