DeSoto Central waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Oxford Chargers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. Considering the Jaguars have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Makayla Jamison made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
