Seymour triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Indrit Peraj

Recap: Seymour Wildcats vs. Torrington Raiders

The Seymour Wildcats posted their biggest victory since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Torrington 67-46. The victory was familiar territory for Seymour who now have three in a row.

Indrit Peraj was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Joey Carrafiello was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Torrington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Fenn, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Fenn is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Parkhouse, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Torrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will take on St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Paul Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Torrington, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Newington at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Newington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 580 points over their last eight games.
