Last Friday, Rio Rancho strolled past Piedra Vista with points to spare, taking the game 66-47.

Meanwhile, Cleveland faced Volcano Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Cleveland fell to Volcano Vista 46-41. The Storm's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cleveland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-9. As for Rio Rancho, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Rio Rancho skirted past Cleveland 50-48 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Rio Rancho have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cleveland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
