Softball Recap: Thoreau Takes a Loss

Thoreau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-2 to the Hozho Academy Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Thoreau's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hozho Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Thoreau Hawks duke it out with Northwest Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hozho Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Capitan at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
