Basketball Recap: William Floyd Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

William Floyd won the last time they faced Mount Sinai and things went their way on Saturday too. The William Floyd Colonials walked away with a 69-61 victory over the Mount Sinai Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonials.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Sinai lost, don't look at Dominic Pennzello. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points and six rebounds. Pennzello's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brian Vales, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

William Floyd pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mount Sinai, they moved to 12-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

William Floyd will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Riverhead at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Mount Sinai, they will face off against Islip at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Mount Sinai's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
