Lafayette came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. Give the Commodores' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Lafayette pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six games. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
