Volleyball Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

Benton lost against Highland back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Zephyrs lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. The Zephyrs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Benton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-22, 25-13.

Addalee Lawrence paced Benton's offense, picking up seven kills. Lawrence got some help from Arianna Stochl and her 13 assists. Finally, River Curtis kept Benton's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Benton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Cassville on the 4th. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Belmont on the 4th.
