Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hobgood Charter). They walked away with a 62-50 win over the Columbia Wildcats on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-51 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Columbia lost, don't look at Jayden Sawyer. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards. The contest was Sawyer's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ja-Kwon White, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Hobgood Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Columbia, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobgood Charter will square off against Bear Grass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will face off against Mattamuskeet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
