Softball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Buckeye Local

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harrison Central, Buckeye Local was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Brooke Bruins by a score of 4-1.

Karli Lander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Missy Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Muldrew, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Buckeye Local's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. As for Brooke, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coming up, Brooke will take on Weir at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckeye Local will be paying especially close attention to the Bruins' contest: after the Bruins faces off against the Red Riders, they'll take on Buckeye Local again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
