Volleyball Game Preview: Medina Battling Bees vs. Shaker Heights Red Raiders

For the first time this season, Medina will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the Shaker Heights Red Raiders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Medina came up short against Stow-Munroe Falls last Thursday, falling 3-0. The Battling Bees haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Medina had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Shaker Heights had to kick off their season on the road two weeks ago, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Rhodes by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 17-25, 26-24.

Everything went Medina's way against Shaker Heights in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Medina made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Medina have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shaker Heights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
