After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Berlin, Plainville was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the New Britain Golden Hurricanes a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Devils have won six matches by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory snapped Plainville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for New Britain, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Plainville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Rocky Hill on the 8th. As for New Britain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-0 loss against Lewis Mills on the 12th.
