Baseball Recap: Campbell Falls Short Against Ranked Bishop Brady

Campbell faced Bishop Brady in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Campbell took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Brady. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bishop Brady this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 on May 8th.

Luke Delia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braydon White, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Bishop Brady, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell will host Gilford at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Brady, they will welcome Hillsboro-Deering at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
