Basketball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

Monrovia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the La Canada Spartans and fell 66-37. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for La Canada, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will square off against Kaiser at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for La Canada, they will take on South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in La Canada's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
