Basketball Game Preview: Royalton-Hartland Rams vs. Attica Blue Devils

The Royalton-Hartland Rams will take on the Attica Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Royalton-Hartland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.

Royalton-Hartland took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 53-49 W over Medina.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Dan Aquilina and Jerrell Nealy. Aquilina had a solid game and dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Nealy was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Attica was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 59-55 to Wheatland-Chili. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 728th, while the Wildcats are ranked 363rd).

Attica's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Royalton-Hartland, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-9.

Royalton-Hartland strolled past Attica when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 68-51. Will Royalton-Hartland repeat their success, or does Attica have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
