Football Recap: Davie County Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Davie County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-8 defeat at the hands of the West Forsyth Titans on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the War Eagles in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Draeton Nance threw for 79 yards and one TD. Ethan Driver was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards and one score.

Mozes Morris had an outrageously good game for West Forsyth as he rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Braylen Marrow, who rushed for 72 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Davie County will venture away from home to face off against West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Forsyth, they will welcome Grimsley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
