Football Preview: Indian Land Warriors vs. Rock Hill Bearcats

The Indian Land Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Rock Hill Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Indian Land is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 39 points on September 6th, they were much more limited against Marvin Ridge on Friday. They were outmatched by the Mavericks at home and fell 38-9. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jamol Horton put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 120 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Even though they lost, Indian Land was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Clover on Friday, but they still walked away with a 27-21 win. The Bearcats pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Ian Grissom was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Indian Land fell to 3-1. As for Rock Hill, their record is now 2-3.
