Softball Game Preview: Bowie Volunteers vs. Arlington Colts

Bowie hasn't had much luck against Arlington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bowie Volunteers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arlington Colts at 6:00 p.m. Bowie will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Bowie is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Grand Prairie last Wednesday, falling 30-20.

Arlington never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Sam Houston last Tuesday. They blew past the Texans 13-3. Considering the Colts have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Arlington has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
