Volleyball Recap: To'hajiilee Takes a Loss

To'hajiilee lost against Newcomb back in September of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyhawks. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

To'hajiilee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16.

To'hajiilee's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Newcomb, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

To'hajiilee will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evangel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Newcomb, they will square off against Alamo Navajo at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
