            Baseball Recap: El Toro Chargers vs. Capistrano Valley Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            El Toro suffered their biggest  loss since April 4th on Friday. They lost  14-5 to the Capistrano Valley Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  7-3  loss  on Wednesday.
El Toro got a good showing from  Logan Barney, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Barney has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, El Toro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Talen Nodalo, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI. Another  was  Kenny Park, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
This is the second loss in a row for El Toro and  nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Capistrano Valley, their win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 11-12-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Toro will host San Clemente  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Capistrano Valley, they will square off against Trabuco Hills at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Cougars 3.7, the Mustangs 2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
