Volleyball Recap: LEE Volunteers vs. Churchill Chargers
LEE was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Churchill Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Volunteers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on October 4th.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.
Addison Mendoza paced LEE's offense, picking up eight kills. Mendoza got some help from
Chloe Bengoechea and her 17 assists.
Churchill was led to victory by Makenzie Moore and Audrey Bailey. Moore had two aces and 14 assists, while Bailey had five digs, two aces, and a kill. That's the most aces Bailey has posted since October 4th.
LEE's defeat dropped their record down to 16-22. As for Churchill, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 25-18.
As of now, neither LEE nor Churchill have any future games scheduled.
