Soccer Game Preview: Peninsula vs. West

The Peninsula Panthers will challenge the West Warriors at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Peninsula was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They never let Wiseburn- Da Vinci get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Peninsula haven't had any issues with Wiseburn- Da Vinci recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, West didn't have quite enough to beat Torrance on Tuesday and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Torrance are ranked 50th).

Peninsula's victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for West, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-2.
