Volleyball Recap: Avery Stone and Eric Stowe Secure Win for San Leandro

San Leandro proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Arroyo Dons 3-2. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

San Leandro took Arroyo into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 28-26, 25-19, 24-26, 15-10.

Leading San Leandro to victory were Eric Stowe and Avery Stone. Stowe had 23 digs, while Stone had 24 kills, seven digs, four aces, and one block. Stone has been hot, having posted nine or more kills the last six times he's played.

San Leandro's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Arroyo, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, San Leandro will challenge Encinal at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arroyo, they will take on Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
