Lopez had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-21 win over the Pace Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-25 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Pace lost, don't look at Bre Nelson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Lopez has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Pace, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Lopez will take on Weslaco East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace, they will face off against Donna at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
