Basketball Game Preview: South Gwinnett Comets vs. Archer Tigers

South Gwinnett hasn't had much luck against Archer recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The South Gwinnett Comets are taking a road trip to take on the Archer Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, South Gwinnett ended up a good deal behind Grovetown and lost 51-37. The matchup marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Archer entered their tilt with Grovetown on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 73-37 victory over the Warriors. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Archer, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

South Gwinnett ended up a good deal behind Archer in their previous meeting back in February, losing 64-45. Can South Gwinnett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
