Clearfield was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Taven Swartz did his best to prevent it. Swartz turned in nothing short of a gem, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Clearfield is 2-1 when Swartz allows three or fewer hits, but 7-9 otherwise.

Coming up, Swartz and Clearfield will face off against Roy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
