Recap: River City Raiders vs. Grant Pacers
The River City Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Grant 77-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points River City has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, River City saw an underclassman step up: Diego Villanueva scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nickolas Rodriguez, who scored eight points.
River City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Grant, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
River City will head out on the road to face off against Laguna Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Laguna Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 314 points over their last five matchups. As for Grant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McClatchy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. McClatchy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
