Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest Christian). Everything went their way against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur on Friday as they made off with an 18-1 victory. Considering the Crusaders have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Northwest Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 17-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Odyssey Institute, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

Northwest Christian will host San Tan Foothills at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sabercats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.48 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Odyssey Institute, they are taking a road trip to square off against Parker at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
