Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Central Irish vs. Charleston Catholic Irish

St. Joseph Central will head out on the road to square off against Charleston Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Central is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, St. Joseph Central came up short against Charleston Catholic and fell 61-50. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Charleston Catholic is ranked 13th).

Charleston Catholic found their leader in freshman Nora Aliff, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aliff has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mary Rushworth, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

Charleston Catholic suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 15-4. As for St. Joseph Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
