Basketball Recap: Tanna Howe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warsaw over Butler

Warsaw lost against Butler back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Warsaw Wildcats and the Butler Bears didn't end well, with the Warsaw Wildcats falling 66-51. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tanna Howe, who posted 12 points and five steals. Howe has become a key player for Warsaw: the team is 8-2 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Maylee Slavens, who earned nine points and seven boards.

Warsaw's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Butler, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Warsaw has already played their next game, a 63-42 win against Sherwood on the 21st. Butler has also already played their next contest (against Stockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
