Softball Game Preview: Ohatchee Indians vs. Cherokee County Warriors

The Ohatchee Indians will venture away from home to take on the Cherokee County Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, everything went Ohatchee's way against Gadsden City as Ohatchee made off with a 12-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while Cherokee County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Hokes Bluff. Cherokee County was the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Hokes Bluff. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Cherokee County pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ohatchee, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Ohatchee came out on top in a nail-biter against Cherokee County in their previous meeting back in March of 2017, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ohatchee since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
