Hopewell's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Garinger Wildcats 66-21. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.

Leading Hopewell to victory were Zac Jones and Miles Vanderspuy. Jones rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Vanderspuy rushed for 154 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Jones has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hopewell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 438 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Hopewell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tyler Verardi, Derion Bonner, and Isaiah Agee picked up one apiece. Verardi got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Garinger lost, don't look at Zykerion Pharr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 162 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

The win snapped Hopewell's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Garinger, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
