Owen had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Madison Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Owen was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Owen's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Owen will take on North Buncombe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Mitchell on the 9th.
