Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Comes Up Short

North Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-23 defeat at the hands of the Walkertown Wolfpack. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Frankie Mabe was North Forsyth's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Mabe also led the team in rebounds with three.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walkertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamir Wilson, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in points. Jaden McCandies was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 14 points.

North Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Walkertown, they pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

North Forsyth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-57 defeat against Oak Grove on the 5th. As for Walkertown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 78-53 victory against McMichael on the 4th.
