While losing is never fun, Smoky Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Rock Canyon are ranked fourth).

Smoky Hill has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Rock Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Smoky Hill wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against Eaglecrest on the 30th. As for Rock Canyon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Castle View on the 28th.
