McDonogh 35 waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over the Istrouma Indians. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Roneagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Indians are ranked 224th).

McDonogh 35's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Istrouma, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

McDonogh 35 and Istrouma will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Roneagles see the court they'll take on Riverdale at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Istrouma, their break will end when they face East Feliciana at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
