After losing to Spring Hill the last time they met, Gladewater decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears claimed a resounding 56-7 victory over the Panthers. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Gladewater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayson Harris led the charge by rushing for 127 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Those 127 rushing yards gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tray Watts, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gladewater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Gladewater's record is now 3-1. As for Spring Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Gladewater has already played their next contest, a 28-27 win against Jefferson on the 26th. As for Spring Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 63-55 loss against Grandview on the 25th.
