Baseball Recap: Unioto Takes a Loss

Unioto fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Jackson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to the Ironman/Ironladies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Shermans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ironman/Ironladies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Keegan Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was David Long, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Unioto's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jackson, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Unioto will take on Bloom-Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Warren.
