Soccer Recap: Saint Mary's Plays to a Tie

Saint Mary came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and the Pinole Valley Spartans finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Panthers' first draw of the season.

With that draw, Saint Mary's record moves to 4-4-1. As for Pinole Valley, they moved theirs to 3-4-5.

Saint Mary's and Pinole Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Saint Mary's (ranked 565th) will meet El Cerrito (ranked 203rd) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pinole Valley will face off against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 242 places (465 vs. 223).
