After a string of four wins, SouthLake Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The matchup between them and Concord Academy wasn't particularly close, with SouthLake Christian Academy falling 72-55. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for SouthLake Christian Academy in their matchups with Concord Academy: they've now lost eight in a row.

Concord Academy found their leader in underclassman Sherod McCormick, who scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. It was the first time this season that McCormick scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Raper, who scored 18 points.

SouthLake Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15. As for Concord Academy, they pushed their record up to 18-14 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
