Football Recap: Meeteetse Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Meeteetse won the last time they faced Ten Sleep and Jacob Moody did his part to make sure it happened again. The Longhorns put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 49-25 win on Saturday with plenty of help from Moody, who rushed for 177 yards and four scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also caught a pair of TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 126 rushing yards.

Meeteetse's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Ten Sleep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Meeteetse will welcome Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ten Sleep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Guernsey-Sunrise at 1:00 p.m. on October 17.
