Baseball Game Preview: North Miami Warriors vs. Triton Trojans

For the second straight game, North Miami will face off against Triton. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games North Miami has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, North Miami needed a bit of extra time to put away Triton. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 10-9. The Warriors' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

For Triton's part, Drew Bingamon was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Bingamon has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Max Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run. Isaiah Vaca was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

North Miami's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Triton, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. North Miami has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Triton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
