Baseball Recap: Agua Fria Owls vs. Deer Valley Skyhawks
Agua Fria extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-15 in the process. They came up short against the Deer Valley Skyhawks, falling 23-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-6 on Monday.
Agua Fria saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Gomez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
As for Deer Valley, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-8-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by eight runs or more this season.
On Deer Valley's side, the team relied heavily on Hunter Short, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Short continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Max Weaver also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
As of now, neither Agua Fria nor Deer Valley have any future games scheduled.
