Baseball Preview: Granada Matadors vs. Monte Vista Mustangs        
        
		
            
 The Granada Matadors will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against the Monte Vista Mustangs at 4:30  p.m. Granada is coming into the  game hot, having won their last seven games.
 Granada can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Friday. They blew past Livermore 15-1.
  Jake Sekany looked comfortable as he  struck out eight batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Parker Warner, who  scored five  runs while  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances.  A.J. Hattaway was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Monte Vista has not done well against Foothill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Monte Vista skirted past Foothill  14-13. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Monte Vista.
  Dylan Hillman was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brad Ballard, who  went 3-for-5 with four  RBI and two  runs.
 Granada pushed their record up to 23-1 with that  victory, which was their 14th straight  on the road. As for Monte Vista, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record  this season.
 Wednesday's   contest will be a test for both team's pitchers. Granada hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Monte Vista struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
