East Duplin barely beat Clinton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Dark Horses with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

East Duplin never let Clinton on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Clinton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cameron Marshburn, who had 15 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played. Jenna Jackson was another key player, getting ten digs and nine assists.

East Duplin's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
