Basketball Recap: George County Takes a Loss

George County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 62-40 to the Picayune Maroon Tide. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-30 on January 7th.

George County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Picayune, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Long Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. George County is facing Long Beach at the right time seeing as Long Beach is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Picayune, they and Pascagoula will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
