Volleyball Recap: Pima Comes Up Short

Pima was the 2-1 winner over Snowflake when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Roughriders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos on Friday.

Pima's offense was headlined by Shante Butler and Morgan Russell, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Demi Derrick and her three assists.

Pima has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Snowflake, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Pima wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Youngker on the 20th. As for Snowflake, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Winslow on the 20th.
