Football Recap: Paris Takes a Loss

Paris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 44-16 defeat at the hands of the Lincoln Cardinals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Coyotes came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Cardinals are ranked 104th).

Although Paris took the loss, they still got scores from Sawyer Clements and Luke Ensor.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Paris will host Slater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.57 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln, they will head out to challenge Knox County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
