It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Midland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Heritage Hawks 4-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 13, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Heritage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
