Baseball Recap: East View Extends Winning Streak to Three

East View waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Salado Eagles.

Asher Kirchoff looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because East View is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-10-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, East View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh O'Malley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that O'Malley scored this season.

East View pushed their record up to 8-10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Salado, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East View will host Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salado, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lampasas at 7:00 p.m.
